 Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new post for the amazing Reneabouquets! Go and see all the                                        beautiful treasures there!  This is a set of two 2 1/4- inch-wide wooden boxes.

To make this I took the hardware off so it would be easier to put paper on. I glued on pieces of Prima paper with Glossy Accents. I glued on pearls to make legs on the bottom. I brushed on clear gesso on all the surfaces.I applied texture paste with a stencil. I put the hardware back on. I used sandpaper to file down edges of paper that stuck out, then glued on the Printed Beautiful Board and other items. I added some pearl and gold mica powders.

To add visual interest I added rhinestones,pearls,keys with dyed ribbon,flowers, and gold leaf.

"Keeping Cozy"

We are still getting hit with frigid temperatures in my part of the country so my husband, myself and our beagle are staying put and trying to keep cozy.   Our dog seems to enjoy the cold much more than we do!

  For me, January has always been a time to take a breath from the holidays, slow down and take time to reflect.  Simple Stories Vintage First Snow conveys the same sentiment.  This is my second project using their new collection combined with the gorgeous products from Reneabouquets.

My goal this year to try and use the items that are already in my home rather than purchasing new.  I had a frame laying around that I have been meaning to alter and this was perfect for the project.  It's 8x8 which is a little smaller than I normally do but it worked out perfectly.  

The first step was to heat emboss the beautiful board snow frame and the large vintage snowflakes.  I choose to use a shaker element as my main focal point on this project in place of a picture.  I adhered the frame to another frame from 49 and Market and then used acetate and foam tape.  I filled the frame with some crystals I had in my stash as well as Reneabouquets pearl microbeads.  

Once the frame was in place, I started to build around the frame with bits and pieces from the collection, some greenery from a winter pick as well as Reneabouquets white roses topped off with pearl microbeads, snowtex and pearl fine german glitter glass.  To bring it all together, I added some winter candy flatback pearls and strategically placed a few beautiful beads in the flowers and around the design.

To make this I took the hardware off so it would be easier to put paper on. I glued on pieces of Graphic 45 Make A Splash paper. I glued on pearls to make legs on the bottom. I brushed on clear gesso on all the surfaces.I applied texture paste with a stencil. I put the hardware back on. I used sandpaper to file down edges of paper that stuck out, then glued on the Beautiful Board and other items. I added some Shimmerz paint and mica powders.

To add visual interest I added glass glitter, crystals,glass beads,fussy cut images from Graphic 45 papers, a shell, a feather, and gold leaf.

"WOODSY WINTER"

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday season!

  We have been having some extremely cold temperatures and snowy weather in the northeast which inspired me to celebrate winter with this beautiful layout.  I used Simple Stories First Snow Collection and the beautiful products from Reneabouquets.

I decided to recycle a Christmas card to use as my focal point.  I highlighted it by using a frame from Simple Stories and layering another frame from 49 and Market on top of that to give added dimension.  I also added a piece of cardboard underneath to really make it pop off the page.

The next step was to emboss the "Let it Snow" chipboard and the snowflakes using WOW white pearl embossing powder and a heat gun.  Embossing Reneabouquets chipboard gives you the opportunity to make the piece unique to your project and style as an artist.

Let it Snow chipboard was added on top of the frame in the bottom left hand corner for yet another layer.  I surrounded the frame with bits and pieces from the First Snow collection as well as tucking in embossed snowflakes around the frame.

To complete the layout, I added mini roses in white, caramel and green topped with pearl microbeads.  Snowtex was added to the scene to give the feeling of freshly fallen snow.

“Always and Forever” Heart Wall Hanging

This is a wooden heart that I altered for a 10 year anniversary gift.  I used Graphic 45's "Always and Forever" collection to cover the heart.  To that I added some stenciling and covered the middle of the heart with some Reneabouquets Trim - Timeless Vintage Ivory Lace.  I used some Printed Beautiful Board Patina Lilac Heart Frame Laser Cut Chipboard in both the small and medium sizes.  Both frames sat on top of some flowers to give the dimensional effect.  A photo of the couple was added to the larger frame, and a sentiment to the smaller frame.  Some flatback pearls were added to the flowers on the frame.  Sitting on the smaller frame is a Beautiful Board Small Fairest Of Them All Laser Cut Chipboard piece and on the larger frame a Polka Dots & Bling Butterfly.  Sprays of mulberry roses in white, sage and black were added to the top right and bottom left of the heart.  On the bottom left some Reneabouquets Trim - Drop Leaf Lace was added.  A silver heart key was added to the top left of the heart and a Tim Holtz sentiment on the bottom right.  The entire heart was outlined with some pearls.

"Be Authentic" Altered Trowel

 “Be Authentic” Altered Trowel

The base of this project is a trowel I found at Dollar Tree.  I painted it green originally but thought it was too bright so sponged some white paint on it to make it more muted.  I added a piece of fencing across the front of the trowel.  At the base of the fencing I added a spray of mulberry roses in pink, white and green and topped it with a Tiny Treasures Spun Candy Premium Glitter Glass Butterfly.  On the left side of the fence stands Flower Girl Dahlia and on the right side sitting atop the cluster of flowers is Fairy Bell.  To the top of the handle I added some drop lace with some Beautiful Beads Candy Flatback Pearls in Pink and topped it off with a lace bow and pink flower.  One more butterfly was added to the handle of the trowel.

Welcome to Day 12 and the final day of Twelve Days of Christmas with Reneabouquets!  

For my last project of Twelve Days of Christmas I created this gorgeous frame made from Renaebouquets Snowflake Loaded Tag Frame.
