Country Christmas Garland

I have been in the thick of getting ready for Christmas Craft Bazaar season and have been making Christmas Garlands with a country/rustic theme. When I received some new Christmas pieces in my design team kit, including the new Beautiful Board Explosion/Ornament/Gift box....I thought it would make a sweet addition to the center of a Garland! By adding a few more Beautiful Board pieces such as S/6 Winter Snowflakes and some Printed Beautiful Board Die Cuts such as Christmas Carol, this garland all came together rather perfectly!!! I will have links below to the Reneabouquets products I used on this project as well as a start to finish You Tube video on how I put this garland together!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Live By Your Own Rules

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team post for Reneabouquets! I have used a Google free photo by A.M. Lorek. I was pretty happy that almost all of my supplies from Reneabouquets were just what I needed. I sponged some gesso on Prima's Lavender Frost, then applied texture paste with a stencil and a credit card. I prepped the Beautiful Board(B Board)with gesso, then painted it with Shimmerz. I applied a thick coat of Ranger Clear Rock Candy Crackle. I mounted the photo with some layers: using double sided tape I put cardstock behind the photo. I find that this helps the photo lie flat. When I get the images from CVS, they are curled. Even lying in tons of books, I couldn't flatten them.  I put a single layer of foam core board on, then watercolor paper, 2 layers of foam, then corrugated cardboard I'd ripped some of the surface off of. There's one more layer of foam between it and the background paper.

I started applying all the embellishments. To add visual interest I added:microbeads, glass glitter, metal glitter, distress glitter, seed beads, pearls, crystals, rhinestones, pressed flowers, dried moss, pieces from floral picks, a Prima flower, shells, metal from Reneabouquets, Tim Holtz, and Vintaj. You can also see tulle, cheesecloth, sequins, chain, and a little stamping too.

As I added items, I whited areas out with gesso to keep things balanced. I added more color to the B Board with Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy paints, alcohol inks, and rubbed on mica powder all over the page.

I did a lot of dry brushing, where you put a small amount of paint on the brush, and apply it gently over the surface.

I used a lot of diamond chunky glitter glass, I sprinkled it on any of the pale pink Shimmerz Paint when it was wet.

I drew out the beads from the woman's headdress with seed beads. I think copper and purple look great together.

I painted some of the flower with gesso, and sprinkled microbeads, seed beads, and glitter on.

I love the brass key from Reneabouquets, I've used them in a number of pages. There are little holes on it that you can put pearls or rhinestones on.

I like to use metal, it gives a page depth and strength.

I guess you can tell I love adding detail!
Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Shabby Chic Ornament Box

Hello friends!
Today I wanted to share with you this new Explosion Christmas Ornament box from Reneabouquets shop that I alter in a shabby chic style but you can do so many different styles with it.
first I finger paint the front, back and topper with pink acrylic paint to give it a little color and on the side walls I use Lavender frost paper from Prima which I distress at the edges, I also use the decorative kit from the ornament box and use the intricate design on the top and bottom of the font part  box which I emboss with clear embossing powder to give it a glittery touch to it.
I also use the bailarina that I color with copics  and distress inks for the body and I use pink  pleated tulle trim for the skirts and just stickles for the top of the dress.
at the top of the ornament I use the Flower Crown lace , B-Board small bricks, glitter snow , white poinsettias and other's to create a cluster that will give it a shabby look to it.
Here's another way you can alter the ornament box thought I will recommend to use the batterie  tea light for safety measure.
I'm so happy how they turn out and you can use them as a decoration piece as well as an ornament and make them in different colors and styles.

Hope you have like this project as much as I , thank you for stopping by today
Take care and big hugs

Quick Christmas Decor is so easy with Reneabouquets By Renea Harrison

Time to get started on those handcrafted Christmas gifts and decorations!! I love creating items to decorate my home with for the Holidays! Today, I have a Carousel Themed Explosion Christmas Ornament that will be going on my tree this year using products that you can find at Reneabouquets.

Covering the 3 Solid Sides with Prima Santa Baby Paper, and then painting 2 of the small decorative pieces from the Decoration Kit and adding those to the bottom of the box. I can tell it is gloomy here, because my colors are a little off showing up more purplish than the Antique Mauve that they are.
All Chipboard pieces were adhered with Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue.

For the top and the  front of the box, I heat embossed then took some Lindy's Magicals (Sleigh Bells) and painted over the embossing to get a really gorgeous gold shimmer.

I then added 2 of the Larger Decorative pieces from the kit to each side of the lid and topped the front view with a Tiny Treasures Lissie Glitter Glass Butterfly. I then tied my box closed with a hand dyed seam binding ribbon topped with a Pink & Ivory Mini Rose.

For the inside of the box, I covered all 3 of the solid sides with matching paper, added a painted frame from the decoration kit to the back wall side, and then heat embossed and Magical Painted the bottom and inside front side.

I colored my Carousel Horse with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, added some of the Pink & Ivory Mini Roses to the base and topped them with a Lissie Butterfly Kiss.

I hope that you find the time during this busy Holiday Season to create something beautiful for yourself, family or friends!! Thank you for taking the time to visit!! Hugs ~Renea

Fairy Lantern

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a Beautiful Board Explosion Ornament from Reneabouquets!  I love all the intricate cuts on this piece, they are just so beautiful. I'm going to hang this on my Christmas tree, til then I'll have it on display in my kitchen.

To make this ornament I prepped all sides with gesso. To put it together I put the ballerina on with the stand that's provided.I took the bottom piece by the handles, and lifted it up as far as it would go. It fits around the piece with the ballerina on it, a little like putting a leg warmer on.   Beautiful Board Ballerina Explosion Ornament, Box,Gift Holder  If you go to that link, you can see more directions and photos.

I put the butterflies on first, and worked around them. To add visual interest I added microbeads, seed beads, crystals, glass beads, pearls, metal glitter, glass glitter, distress glitter, sequins, moss, lichen, pressed flowers, paper flowers, tulle, cheesecloth, silk ribbon.I used Glossy Accents to attach everything. I fussy cut pieces from Graphic 45 Fairy Frost.I used pale colors of Shimmerz Paints, mica powder, and Art Alchemy paints.

I left the other two sides of the box plain, with just a coat of pale pink paint.

Here's a close up where you can see the B Board in more detail.

This is the opposite side.

Reneabouquets Mixed Media Canvas - By DT Tina Goodwin

Hello! Hello!

I am super excited about today's project. It's a mini mixed media canvas. It's what I made to replace the Pegacorn mini canvas that I made last month. The one that Echo just had to have =).

This is my favorite piece of mixed media that I have ever created.

I used lots of products from Reneabouquets. I have left a list of each product and the link to it below.

I even did a full video! I am still working on perfecting videos. The more I do, the more comfortable I feel.

I had fun creating the different textures. Doing mixed media is a little like playing in the mud. A huge mess, but oh so much fun!

I hope you have enjoyed my project!

Thank you for stopping by. If you have time, pop on over to my youtube channel and watch the video!

Reneabouquets Autumn Fairy Card and November Mood Board Challenge

Hello everyone! I am a little behind posting the new mood board challenge for Reneabouquets. It's been a crazy couple weeks. Of course it's only going to get crazier until the holidays are over.

Anyway, the mood board for this month is Give Thanks. Perfect for November.

The card I made is inspired by the colors of the mood board.

The Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Tree Frame has been in my stash for awhile. I have been waiting and looking at this gorgeous frame for some time. Waiting for inspiration to hit me. Well, I finally remembered a project I saw on a blog a long time ago. Unfortunately, I cannot remember which blog, but she used a cool technique to make tree bark. I had to give it a try for the Tree Frame. I did a short video for you!

I colored the leaves with distress oxide inks. Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw. Then I dabbed each leaf with Mod Podge and sprinkled it with glitter glass. I am in love with the texture and sparkles of this tree!

I backed the frame with cardstock from Blue Fern Studios Amber Apricot Collection. The colors of this collection are perfect for Fall projects. It even had a little hut for the fairy =)

On to the mood board for the month!
