Prima Rose Quartz Mixed Media Mini Album By Reneabouquets Guest Designer Yorlis Borja

Hi friends Guest Designer Yorlis here! with a mix media cloth Album using embellishments from Reneabouquets.  Starting this project with a completely stitched and NO cardboard in it, pages made from a dense monophonic fabric, this gives unlimited possibilities for creating an independent background.

Here I use texture paste, sprays of gentle shades, laces, flowers, die-cuts, chunky glitter glass and one of the beautiful butterflies from Reneabouquets including Prima Rose Quartz Paper Collection used here to complete this Beautiful Album.

Reneabouquets Facebook August Blessing Themed Challenge and Giveaway

Hello crafty friends!
I am so excited to be hosting monthly challenges in the Reneabouquets Facebook group. We are going to have lots of fun together!

This months challenge theme is...Blessings. We were inspired to do this challenge by the quote 'Train yourself to find the blessing in everything.'  Sometimes life gets extremely busy and we forget to take a moment to breathe and look at the blessings in our lives.

The idea is for you to create ANY kind of project, using ANY Reneabouquets item, and using the quote 'Train yourself to find the blessing in everything' or someone/something you feel blessed to have in your life as inspiration. Easy peasy! Right!?!

I decided that I would make a blessing box for the challenge.

The box is, once again, something that I have been storing in my craft room 4EVER. Loving that being on Reneabouquets DT is giving me the desire/inspiration to use the items I have been saving.

The box started out a light lavender color. I put a few layers of Gesso on it and then sprayed it with ink dies.
After I did the spraying my 6 year old walked in and said "Mama! That is beautiful! It reminds me of space." To me it kinda looked like the Northern Lights. What a blessing it is to be able to see them! Living in Alaska, the Northern Lights appear often during the winter. The stars shine bright and you can see the lights ship across the sky.

Okay, back to the blessing box. I plan to write down a blessing/special moment/memory on a little piece of paper (with dates) everyday and put it in the box. At the end of the year, we will sit together as a family and read each one. Knowing my family, there will be lots of laughs going into this box. I think it will be a lot of fun to read them later on.

I will keep the most special blessings/memories so I can scrapbook them and keep them forever.

I used the beautiful Mini Pink Sorbet Mulberry Paper & Leaves Set and the Mini Plum Mulberry Paper Roses & Leaves Set. I love these flowers! They are very well made. So good that you can spray them with ink sprays (if you want to change the color) and they will not fall apart.

Of course I had to put butterflies on the box. Reneabouquets butterflies are amazing. They really finish off any/every project with a special touch.

The Reneabouquets Trim Sheer Romantic Lace White made the most gorgeous bow for the top of the box. I like how it stands out against the colors.
To add a little shine and texture, I used Reneabouquets Pink Chunky Glitter Glass and Reneabouquets Teal Chunky Glitter Glass

I hope you will take the opportunity to join our challenge! It's sure to be fun! Oh! and guess what?!? There is a prize!!! Anyone who participates (and follows all the rules) will be entered in a chance to win an awesome prize. The winner will be drawn at random.

Shabby Chic Blue & Pink Scrapbook Layout DT Project for ReneaBouquets

Hey Crafty Friends Phyllis here again I can't help myself creating so many projects using ReneaBouquets Butterflies.  Did you see the new ReneaBouquets Precious Moments Butterflies?  OMG they are Gorgeous!
Below is my first project using ReneaBouquets Precious Moments Butterflies,  my goal was to go really soft with colors so the butterflies would pop but in the end they blended in with the colors.
I love how versatile everything is in ReneaBouquets store,  you can create shabby chic or create a mixed media project.  I tend to mix them up because I love both!

I created my background using Prima's White Crackle texture paste thru a stencil then did some ink stamping and some Prima Color Bloom Sprays.

I am in Love with ReneaBouquets Lace and Trims but I tend to hoard them because I don't want to use them.

I love all the details Renea creates on all her handmade butterflies and dragonflies so Gorgeous!  So be sure to check out her store!

I hope I've inspired you to create something beautiful today!

Reneabouquets Mixed Media Greeting Card - Guest Designer Tina Goodwin

Hi friends! Guest Designer Tina here again with a Mixed Media card I made with embellishments from Reneabouquets. Shabby Chic is one of my favorite styles.

I started by picking out my paper and coordinating colored cardstock. The pattered cardstock is from  Blue Fern Studios Cardstock - Serendipity. I purchased it from Reneabouquets a year or two ago. I have been hording it because it is absolutely gorgeous. The colors and designs on every sheet is just amazing.

Once I had the cardstocks cut to size, I distressed the edges a bit. I really like the look that it gives to the card. I then cut the corrugated cardboard down to size and sprinkled it with dry embossing powder. Instead of using my heat tool on the top like usual, I used it on the under side of the cardboard so the embossing powder would not blow all over the place. (I didn't use an embossing ink to stick the powder to the cardboard)

When I was done setting the embossing powder, I added a little texture with Gesso and a stencil. Then I adhered the cardboard with hot glue and chose my lace...Reneabouquets Trim - Sheer Romance Lace White. I love how feminine this lace is with it's embroidered flowers.

After that, I took the Blue Fern Laser Cut Chipboard - Shabby Brick Bits, dabbed it with the Ranger Clear Emboss It Ink Dabber, sprinkled it with embossing powder and then used a heat tool to set it. Then I used hot glue to adhere it to the card.

When I am making a card, I get out all the embellishments that I am going to use. I place them on the card and move them around approximate a million times until I find the perfect place for them.

The Shabby Pink Roses Glitter Glass Butterflies are my favorite butterflies from Reneabouquets. The perfect, tiny roses are just gorgeous. And I love how they sparkle!

I added the .5 Ounce Pink Chunky Glitter Glass on the largest flower and in random places on the card. The extra sparkle and texture that it gives is amazing.

I am super excited with how this Shabby card turned out!

Thank you so much, Renea for giving me the opportunity to Guest Design for you! I have had so much fun!

Hugs,
                      Tina Goodwin
