"Be Authentic" Altered Trowel

“Be Authentic” Altered Trowel

The base of this project is a trowel I found at Dollar Tree. I painted it green originally but thought it was too bright so sponged some white paint on it to make it more muted. I added a piece of fencing across the front of the trowel. At the base of the fencing I added a spray of mulberry roses in pink, white and green and topped it with a Tiny Treasures Spun Candy Premium Glitter Glass Butterfly. On the left side of the fence stands Flower Girl Dahlia and on the right side sitting atop the cluster of flowers is Fairy Bell. To the top of the handle I added some drop lace with some Beautiful Beads Candy Flatback Pearls in Pink and topped it off with a lace bow and pink flower. One more butterfly was added to the handle of the trowel.

"Dance Is The Hidden Language Of The Soul" Folio Cover

“Dance Is The Hidden Language Of The Soul” Folio Cover

This is a trifold folio that I made for my niece who is 17 and has been dancing since she was very young. The papers are from Ciao Bella's "Cigne Noir" collection. This cover features the ballerina in a black skirt on which I used some Stickles to give it some shimmer. She is framed by a Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Small Simply Beautiful Frame Laser Cut Chipboard. The frame was adorned with a row of pearls and a Tiny Treasures Sweet Dreams Dusty Peach Premium Paper Butterfly. Some pearl buttons were added to the bottom right of the cover along with a violin embellishment. The top right of the cover has a spray of Reneabouquets mulberry flowers in vintage mauve, dusty pink, black and mint green. The spray was sprinkled with some Gawdie Girl Diamond German Glitter Glass for sparkle. Another butterfly tops the spray. Along the left of the cover is a border of Reneabouquets Trim - Mirabelle Lace. Some Beautiful Beads Flatback Pearls in pink were added to the lace. The final element to the folio cover is the Silver Dream metal key trinket from Reneabouquets.
