I have been crafting my whole life, and about 4 years ago I started paper crafting and became hopelessly addicted. I decided to open up an Etsy shop to help pay for my addiction, and now a year later, it has grown into a part time job for me, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Now, I have decided to take my business full time, and make it so that my customers can purchase through Etsy as well as my Reneabouquets.com online shop.
I have been told that whether I am creating something beautiful, Vintage, masculine or mixed media that I create "with my own edge".
My specialty is hand crafted butterflies and dragonflies. I started making butterflies when I first opened my Reneabouquets business in 1999, and I was running a floral business. When I started paper crafting, I saw that others used butterflies in their work, and decided to start creating some for my own work, and I had such an overwhelming response from the community, that I now offer them for others to enjoy as well. I digitally create some of my own bodies, and draw some of my designs completely from scratch, then I set to work hand painting, accenting, and adding hand tinted glitter glass accents in my own signature "chunky" way of painting and altering. I then cut them out, ink them to add dimension as well as a finished look, and then hand bend wire to create their antennas, and add them on with foam tape so that when you put them on your project you get a beautiful dimension.
I have just recently begun adding high quality, tried and true by me, supplies that include Prima, Ranger, Tim Holtz & Dina Wakley, Blue Fern Studios, Petaloo and Graphic 45 as well as Reneabouquets Trinkets, beautiful cotton, environmentally friendly trims, and my very own line of Reneabouquets Chunky Glitter Glass and beads. I hand select all my items and only carry those products that pass my high standards of quality. If they are items that I fall in love with and would use in my on work, then I bring them into my shop in volume so that my customers can shop with confidence in knowing that they are something that they too will love and reach for over and over again.
I also offer some of my work as premade layouts, altered projects, canvases, cards and home decor. I love dimension and texture, and I think it is when my customers are holding their purchase in their hands and they get to see my work in real life that they are really thrilled at just how much hand detailing, and unique techniques there are that actually go into one of my pieces.
I love what I do and take great pride in what I create. I also take great pride in providing excellent customer service and try to answer any and all questions that my customers may have.
