Shabby Chic Mixed Media Altered Book

For this project I wanted to create a very textured shabby chic, mixed media, romantic layout using a book as my platform. I loved using a book because I was able to add texture around the layout by adding the elements in between the layers of the pages. I started with  a Scrapbook Home Décor idea book that was about  8 1/2 x 8 1/2 size. It was perfect because once opened, it laid very flat, which was just right for my layout. The pages that weren't embellished, I just simply glued together with Beacon FabricTac glue. It adheres the pages nicely without bubbles or clumps.
