Merry Christmas
Reneabouquets Fans! I am so excited that I was asked once again to be a Guest
Designer for Reneabouquets, this time for the month of December! I knew I was
going to have a lot of fun making pocket letters for this month. Renea has made
such beautiful Christmasy items that fit perfectly in these pockets. For those
that are a bit too big, they can easily be added to the outside to give it even
more dimension. This is my first installment…a Vintage Christmas Pocket Letter featuring the gorgeous Blue Fern
Studios Vintage Christmas paper collection Tree Trimmings and Holiday Cards. A
little background about pocket letters for those of you that have never made
one (and I encourage you to give it a try!)… Pocket letters have quickly become
a big hit in the scrapbooking field. They were created by Janette Lane around
2014, who created them as a new way to send letters to your new or existing penpals.
Basically, you fill all the pockets of a 9-pocket Trading Card Protector and
send the whole page to someone who wants to swap with you. I usually type a
letter about myself and then fold it up and insert it behind Pocket 5.
Before beginning to add
the lovely embellishments I distressed the edges of each piece of my cut
cardstock. Then the embellishments fun
begins!
I used the following
products from Reneabouquets:
ROW 1
ROW 2
Gold and White Lace (Out of Stock)
ROW
3
A little close-up of
the sweet little girl on a doily…
Other products used
on the Beautiful Board pieces include Zing Gold Embossing Powder, Stampendous
Shabby White or Kaleidoscope Embossing Powders, Wow! Vintage Peacock Embossing
Powder and Ranger Red Tinsel Embossing Powder. I also used Stardust Stickles on
most of the snowflakes. For the snow at
the bottom of each pocket I tore apart cotton balls and added Renea’s Diamond
Chunky Glitter Glass.
Thank you so much for
stopping by. I hope I have given you some inspiration at trying to make your
very own pocket letter! Hugs, Elizabeth
