Reneabouquets: Reneabouquets November 2019 Mood Board Challenge

Hi everyone! It's November, which means there is a new mood board challenge in the Reneabouquets Artists With an Edge Facebook Group.

In case you are new to my blog, we do a mood board challenge every month in the Reneabouquets Artists With an Edge Facebook Group. Everyone who enters a new project using items from Reneabouquets, gets entered into a chance to win a Reneabouquets prize package at the end of the month.

Here is the kick off project that I made for this months challenge.

I've used a photo from free google, by Bella Kotak.

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern Eclectic Charm paper. I sponged on gesso where I planned on putting on texture paste. I put texture paste on with a stencil and an old credit card. I sprinkled on UTEE,ultra thick embossing powder on, and melted it with a heat gun.

I put the layers under the photo together,starting with taping on card stock under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a layer of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface, and painted it with gesso. While it was wet I poured on UTEE, and heated it until it was just melted. I put two layers of cardboard between the layers to add dimension.

I put the layers with the photo onto the page.

I picked out Beautiful Board, applied gesso with a brush, painted with Shimmerz Paints, and applied a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle. I glued the BBoard onto the page.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, gold leaf,glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones,sequins, pressed flowers and leaves, bark,lichen,strands of cheesecloth, black tulle,gold lace, iridescent wrapping paper, shells,metal from Reneabouquets, 7 Gypsies,Tim Holtz, flowers from Reneabouquets, and bling and metal from my stash. The gorgeous dragonfly is from Reneabouquets. The little white deer is from Tim Holtz.

I used paint from Shimmerz, Amsterdam gold and black ink, and Tim Holtz Dusty Concord Ink.

I sponged on white gesso on the left, because the page got too busy.

I splashed on white ink all around the page.

Challenge Rules

2. Your project can be any style.

3. Add your project to the Reneqbouquets Artist with an Edge October Mood Board 2019 event by 12:00 am October 30th, 2019. Check back on the 31st to see if you have won the random drawing.

4. Challenge is open to U.S. Residents and International
