Reneabouquets: Merry and Bright Gift and Lantern DT Project for Reneabouquets

Hi Crafters,

I am here once more with a beautiful Reneabouquet Design Team Project for my Christmas in July gift series. Today, I am showcasing a gorgeous Octagon shaped gift box and darling lantern!

For these projects I used my Silhouette Cameo, Items from my stash, and of course, beautiful board pieces from Reneabouquets!

To begin, I made this gorgeous gift box and topped it off with a Printed Beautiful Board Small Christmas Holly And Berry Wreath Frame. I then used the Beautiful Words Tiny Merry And Bright Laser Cut Chipboard. This piece fit perfectly, and I painted it in a light gold wash, then added a tiny gem in the center. On the bottom, is a grouping of Christmas Red Mulberry Paper Poinsettias, Roses & Holly Leaves Flower Set. To complete this set, I also added some green roses from my stash. To keep all of the flowers shining, I altered them with gold paint and then finished them off with two Tiny Treasures Holly And Berry Christmas Butterflies.

The box is also painted with gold paint and crackle finish for a vintage look.

Inside the box you will find an adorable Victorian Era inspired Christmas Ornament. I used a

Beautiful Box Large Square Shaker Box DIY Kit Laser Cut Chipboard. This was easy to fill with different sequins and also some tiny Beautiful board snowflakes that I painted to match. The outer frame was also painted, with the bottom layer in green, then the top painted to resemble wood, then topped with a golden crackle effect.

To top off this shaker frame I added pieces of Wedding Day Lace, a handmade bow, and topped it with a Gold Ribbons & Bows Premium Paper Butterflies. This little beauty is already topped with gold glitter and gem, making perfect for my project! To give it the Christmas touch, I also added three small Jingle Bells in the 8 and 6 mm sizes. They are dainty and perfect!

On the bottom of the frame, I had plenty of room to decorate with a Printed Beautiful Board Small Christmas Carol Laser Cut Chipboard Die Cut, grouped with a tiny altered Christmas tree from my stash sprinkled with Glitter Glass. I also added a small poinsettia and tiny roses, both from Renea's shop. This piece can also be filled with a picture or sentiment for a perfect personalized gift!

To go along with the gift box, I decided to also make a lantern. This red and gold beauty is all spruced up for the holidays!

I topped it with another poinsettia, grouped with small pine cones from my stash, and tied little jingle bells to a delicate red bow. The flower is painted in gold to add a shabby vintage touch.

To make this super special, I added a Printed Beautiful Board Tiny Vintage Christmas Reindeer Laser Cut Chipboard. This little doe is grouped with small roses, and a gilded leaf from Renea's shop. Her bells and green bow are mimicked by the bells and velvet ribbon on the lantern.

The lantern also features different Beautiful Board Medium Shabby Snowflakes. These are absolutely stunning,and come in varied sizes, All I did was to add little gems to the center to make them sparkle. Voila! Project complete!
