Reneabouquets Artists With An Edge July 2020 Moodboard Challenge



Hi everyone! It's July, which means there is a new mood board challenge in the Reneabouquets Artists With an Edge Facebook Group. 

In case you are new to my blog, we do a mood board challenge every month in the Reneabouquets Artists With an Edge Facebook Group. Everyone who enters a new project using items from Reneabouquets, gets entered into a chance to win a Reneabouquets prize package at the end of the month. 

Here is the kick off project that I made for this month's challenge.

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern's Jane's Memoirs paper.

  I put the layers under the photo together,starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most of the paper from the top of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of cardboard between the layers to add dimension. 

I put the layers with the photo onto the page.

I painted the page with clear gesso, then applied texture paste with a stencil and an old credit card. I sprinkled on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder, and heated it with a heat tool. The Beautiful Board leaves at the bottom are a combination of 3 or 4 layers of Green Olive Shimmerz and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz. 

I picked out Beautiful Board,applied gesso with a brush, and painted it with pink Prima Butterfly Spells Sparks paint.I applied a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle. I added a lot of color around the paper with Shimmerz paints. I used a mix of Run Forest Run and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz, and Dear John Letter for the pinkish color. The blue green color on the mat and corrugated is a mix of Blue My Mind and Run Forest Run Inklingz. Green Olive Shimmerz




To add visual interest I added Printed Beautiful Board, micro beads, seed beads, gold leaf,glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones,sequins, pressed flowers and leaves,strands of gold cheesecloth,iridescent wrapping paper,metal from Reneabouquets and Vintaj,flowers from  Reneabouquets,Prima,shells, and bling and metal from my stash. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. There are some fussy cut images from Graphic 45 papers.

Any gold on the page is either mica powder or gold leaf.

Challenge Rules
1. Create a NEW project (on or off the page) that features ANY product carried in the Reneabouquets.com store or the Reneabouquets Etsy Shop 

2. Your project can be any style.

3. Renea is providing an even larger prize RAK this year, but please note, we must have at least 6 participants monthly to provide a Giveaway Drawing. The Monthly Winner will be featured on the main page, and if we have 6 or more participants, they will also be rewarded the prize RAK.

4. Add your project to the Reneabouquets Artist with an Edge July Mood Board 2020 event by 12:00 am July 31st ,2020.Check back on the 31st to see if you have won the random drawing.
(Drawing is done on Facebook live or unedited video to ensure fairness) 

5. Challenge is open to U.S. Residents and International
