Hello everyone, this is Christy and here is my Guest Design Team project for the month of June. I made a mixed media canvas titled Cherish because I captured a moment that was very special for us, a reunion of the men of my family.
For this canvas I applied gesso as the first coat, then I used my stencils to make some texture on the borders. After that, I glued some laces and the Beautiful Boards chipboard pieces from Renea Bouquets and a 4”x 6” canvas for the background of the picture. After that, I applied gesso on top of the chipboard pieces and I used Gelatos, Distress Inks, and Acrylic metallic paints to decorate that and the background of the canvas.
I also made the Clock shaker box and I embellished it with the Beautiful hearts of glass and the cute Jingle Bells. As a final touch I added the flowers and leaves, metal embellishments like the Pocket Watch from Renea Bouquets, the Diamond glitter glass that I glued on the flowers and butterfly and last, I added the picture.
