At The Beach Summer Tag
I made this tag for the Reneabouquets Summer Tag Challenge in August that was hosted on scrapbook.com. The base of the tag is approximately 5” x 7”.
I first cut my base from chipboard and then covered it with patterned paper for a nice blue background. I then assembled the Reneabouquets Beautiful Box Small Square Shaker Box DIY Kit. I lined the inside of the box with a white swirly paper and a string of pearls. The box was then filled with two Itty Bitty By The Sea Seahorse Chipboard pieces, some By the Sea Starfish, Beautiful Beads Mix By The Sea, and a bit of Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass to add some sparkle to the shaker. It was then time to seal everything up and top the shaker with the Seashell Frame.
The Seashell Frame was decorated with a By The Sea Small Mermaid, more starfish with a pearl center, an anchor, glass bottle, sign, steering wheel and a Printed Beautiful Board Small White Dove. A string of pearls outlined the frame.
Before I mounted the Shaker Box onto my tag base I covered the base with some mesh material to give it some texture. After the Box was glued on I added cheesecloth for even more texture and to give the tag a bit of a netting feel.
The top of the tag was finished off with some By The Sea Roses and Leaves Mulberry Paper Flowers and another rose from the Soft Ivory Roses and Leaves Mulberry Flower set. More Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass was added to the roses along with some of the By The Sea Beautiful Beads. A Beautiful Bits Seashell was tucked into the roses and two Small Butterfly Flourishes were added on each side of the roses. The finishing touch was a bit of lace and a pearl button at the top of the tag.

By The Sea Anchor
While strolling through the craft aisle at Walmart I spotted this wooden anchor measuring approximately 6” x 8” and immediately thought of Reneabouquets “By The Sea” collection featuring a beautiful mermaid and seahorses so into the cart it went!
I painted the anchor a shade of teal to coordinate with the colors of this collection. I found a roll of netting at the Dollar Tree that I cut in little pieces and adhered to the base of the anchor to give it more texture. I then covered the “U” part of the anchor with seashells using a hot glue gun. A layer of Glossy Accents was applied on top of the seashells to make them more secure. To give it some real shine I added some Gawdie Girl Diamond Shard Glitter Glass.
Next it was time to place the Printed Beautiful Board By The Sea Mermaid on the right side of the anchor and on the left side I placed a Beautiful Board Itty Bitty Seahorse and some starfish. On the middle section I added some roses from the By The Sea Mulberry Roses collection. These too were covered with the Gawdie Girl Diamond Shard Glitter Glass. I also added some Beautiful Beads Glass Fairy Opal beads to the roses.
On the top of the anchor I added a tan bow and topped it with a brown button, pearl button, and Reneabouquets Soft Teal Candy half pearl. The finishing piece was the beautiful By The Sea Glass Wing Butterfly that sits among the roses.
