Reneabouquets: Fall Wall Hanging by Design Team Artist Diane McClosky

We are currently enjoying the embrace of fall on the East Coast, and I am doing everything I can to savor this beautiful weather before the winds of winter sweep in! My latest project is a wall hanging that commemorates precious moments from 1994 of my two children. It takes me back to a time when I relied on a disposable camera to capture memories. Technology has definitely transformed our lives. I am doing my best to keep up with it all!

I found the wall hanging at the Dollar Tree and it was just waiting for some creative TLC. I peeled off the stick-on paper from the three squares and then sanded the surface to prepare for my squares that measure approximately 4x4.

I used 49 and Market's Art Option Spice Collection, paired with beautiful products from Reneabouquets. For the first square, I highlighted a photo of my son searching for the perfect pumpkin. I embossed a Pumpkin Patch Chipboard piece with Vintage Photo by Tim Holtz and layered it with Hello Autumn Tuck-it-in Chipboard which complemented the vintage fawn and caramel mini roses.

Moving to the middle, I adorned the square with Beautiful Board Hello Autumn Corners Chipboards, which I dressed up even more with additional leaves and branches to create a sense of depth and height.

The bottom square captures another wonderful moment with my daughter. I once again embossed a Pumpkin Patch Chipboard with Vintage Photo by Tim Holtz. This time I paired it with the mini lavender haze roses.

As is typical of my style, I sprinkled a bit of extra sparkle and texture across all the squares using microbeads in shades of pearl, old gold, dark purple, and pale pink as well as glass beads.
