I was given a set of Home Décor undecorated metal envelopes and immediately knew I wanted to make it into some kind of romantic, shabby chic piece for the month of February, since we all know it is the month of love! I wanted the piece to be warm, inviting, and full of textures. I had seen several versions of handmade fabric envelopes with stuffed fabric hearts on Pinterest and that was the inspiration that I drew from in creating my own version of a "Love Letter"! I used 3 layers of chipboard hearts (instead of stuffing) covered with textured fabrics for my two largest hearts and for my center heart, I used a Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Lacy Heart Frame. I simply adore the scalloped border and its design allowed me to shape it a little to give it a 3-D effect. I loved the heart so much, I used it again in a smaller size on the envelope itself! I also used a few other of my Reneabouquet Beautiful Board favorites such as, the Quilling Flourishes (located on the larger cream heart), the Cherry Blossom Branches (located on the envelope base to the right side) and an art piece would not be complete without the Decorative Clock Hands! And these are just a few of my favorites on this piece! Who wouldn't love the Beautiful Board Love Locks and Key set hanging off the bow that is attached to the Lacy Heart Frame? Did you also notice the super teeny tiny Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits Tiny Hearts scattered above the "I" in Bliss?
