Mintay Paradise Mini Album

    Good morning crafter's,

     

       First I wanted to give a huge shout out to Renea Harrison for working together with the Crafty City design team in giving us the opportunity to work with her gorgeous embellishments from her store! I cannot even begin to describe how gorgeous her products are and everything she sent me blended seamlessly with the Mintay Paradise papers. 

     After I created the base of my album the real fun began! I started off by choosing the perfect page to go on my cover. Mintay Paradise ocean scene with Cabanas on the beach.  I dug into my Treasure box #1 kit from Renea's store and immediately thought about adding Renea's Diamond glitter glass to the waves of the ocean and to the top of my Beach Memories Chipboard from Crafty City.  I also just had to use one of Renea's laser cut chipboard Sun kissed mermaids to sit on the fence and then painted one of her chipboard starfish with an ombre effect and encrusted it with her Diamond glitter glass. I also chose to do a lot if layering with the Paradise cut aparts to create a 3d effect and to top off the cover I added a beautiful orchid dragonfly and then to give a true Florida sand effect I added some of the silver pink glitter glass shards. If you have ever visited Florida you can see the sand has a glittery effect and looks just like sugar.  Below is a close up of her Sun kissed mermaid, so you can see the amazing detail of her products. 

     Once I completed the album cover I knew I wanted to use the Pink Crochet lace that renea had sent me but I still wanted the paper underneath to peek out. So I cut the lace in half and over lapped them slightly and glued down with fabric glue. I then used one of the large starfish chipboards and my daughter ombre painted it with pinks and orchid paint colors. Once it was dry I glued it to the center of the spine and added the diamond/pearl button in the center. I am so happy with how it turned out, here is an image below.

     I added the beautiful boardwalk paper to the back and then began to work on my inside cover page.

     Creating the inside pages were so easy with all the embellishments from both Renabouquets and Crafty City. The inside cover was hard to cover up but I added some cut aparts that I popped up with foam dots included in my crafty city kit and added a small pink and black tiny treasures butterfly in the upper right hand corner. 

     Both kits have so many amazing papers and embellishments that these are a must have to add to your summer themed mini album creations.  Don't forget there are discount codes from both stores!!
