Four Projects From One Paper Pad~ Project 4~ Prima Mermaid Dreams Altered Purse Loaded Pocket By Design Team Artist Renea Harrison

Hello everyone, welcome to the 4th day and final project of 4 different projects that I created with 1 Paper Pad. I am actually a little sad to wrap this little series up. I have enough scraps left over that I thought "surely I can make at least 1 more tag", but I don't won't to wear you out.

The Paper Pad I chose to use is a Prima Golden Coast Paper Pad that is a few years old, and that I had not ever used 😳It was time I got some use out of these beautiful papers and here is the 4th and final project using it.

This project is a little altered Mermaid Dreams Purse
With Shelf.  It acts like a journal or diary and would make an amazing keepsake for a little girl. I know I would have loved this when I was little. Just something magical about a sweet, secret place to write your thoughts down or collect some memories.

I started with a Beautiful Board 4D Purse With Small Shelf Do It Yourself Laser Cut Chipboard Kit (Please note I used one that was a prototype, because I hate to waste, so it does vary from the ones we sell. The shelf is on the right instead of the left)
Before I put the piece together, I used each piece to draw out the templates for my paper. Remember not to cover the tabs so that the piece can go together.

I fussy cut out a background from the paper, and then added on a
Printed Beautiful Board Itty Bitty Mermaid Dreams Chipboard (2")
I added some real seashells and then tucked that sweet little mermaid into a bed of

Mini Whisper Pink And Ivory Mulberry Paper Roses And Leaves

adding some cheesecloth for softness. I fussy cut out some of the pink reeds from the papers and pinched them to add depth and sprinkling them with Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass for lots of sparkle. I then surrounded her with a little seahorse, fish and starfish from the Printed Beautiful Board Small Mermaid Dreams Tuck Ins Chipboard Set and added 3  Beautiful Beads in Hand Tinted Glass Ocean.

I gave the handles a matching theme by 2 tone distress inking a

Beautiful Board Tiny Butterfly Flourish Set

and then adding on starfish from a Printed Beautiful Board Small Mermaid Dreams Tuck Ins Chipboard, as well as some from the Itty Bitty Set.

On the shelf I inked and added ocean beads to a

Beautiful Board Tiny Nautical Anchor Laser Cut Chipboard

and hung that for a back drop.

Ok, so this part was really fun!! I took a Beautiful Board 4D Small Shell Compact Laser Cut Chipboard Kit, fussy cut some of the reeds from the ephemera piece, pinched and glittered like the larger ones before, added Itty Bitty starfish, seahorse and fish tuck ins and then I placed the piece on a silicone mat forming "water" with hot glue and added Beautiful Beads Moonstone Designer Glass
pieces to it while it was still hot to make "bubbles".  I love how this turned out!!

On the back side I formed a pocket and then tucked in lots of little spots that can have photos added to them or can be journaled on.

The piece houses the following:
1- Decorated Printed Beautiful Board Small Mermaid Dreams 8 Piece Tag Set with a hand dyed seam binding bow topped with a real seashell. The backside has an inked Beautiful Board Small Decorative Scroll Flourish and a Dream Spot.
1-Large Double Sided Card with metal eyelet and rope
2- Medium Pieces (Crab & Map)
1-Smaller Piece (Air Mail)
2- Small Ephemera Seahorses with hand dyed seam binding
1- Small Ephemera Hot Air Balloon With hand dyed seam binding.

I had so much fun creating from this beautiful paper pad and making such unique pieces. I hope you have enjoyed each project and that you will take the challenge of using up your paper pads as well.

Until next time~Happy Crafting!! Hugs ~ Renea
