Altered Paintbrush & Goodie Box

I created this altered paint brush and goodie box for the Reneabouquets May Swap on scrapbook.com. My partners loves blue and white so I knew Mintay’s “Elodie” collection was the perfect set of papers. I painted the brush a light blue color and dabbed with a bit of white paint. A piece of Beautiful Board April in Paris Doilies was topped with a white Prima frame for dimension. Images were fussy cut to create the scene. Lots of mulberry flowers were used along with some butterflies, trinkets and glitter glass. A piece of lace topped the brush and lace also covered the bottom of the brush.

I decorated a chipboard box to match the brush and hold some extra goodies for my partner. I covered the box with a scene on the paper of a woman on a bike and added a chipboard window for the birds that were part of the set and topped it with a Beautiful Board flourish and half pearls. Lots of mulberry flowers and a dragonfly decorated the front of the box. It closed with a lace ribbon closure.
