February is the month of love! This project using the Beautiful Board Ballerina on Stage is a stunning representation of love expressed through dance, with intricate details and thoughtful design creating a captivating and enchanting piece of art.
The project is a three-dimensional diorama featuring a beautiful ballerina dancing on stage surrounded by flowers. The background is covered with the Midnight Spell Collection from Ciao Bella adding a mystical and enchanting atmosphere. The stage and base are covered with coordinating rice paper to maintain a cohesive look.
The ballerina is the focal point of the scene, dressed in a smokey blue bodice that I colored using watercolor markers for a soft and ethereal effect. Her skirt is made from two layers of Lovely Drop Lace. Her wings are one of the Premium Paper Glitter Glass Butterflies, adding a touch of whimsy. Sparkle is added to her outfit with Diamond Glitter Glass underneath her skirt and her head covering is similarly adorned.
The stage is filled with flowers strategically placed to create a romantic setting for the ballerina's dance. There is one small embossed quilling flourish set in place with various paper flowers, including dusty blue and white roses in different sizes with a white gardenia, daisy and rosebud arranged around her. The flowers are all sprinkled with Pearl Microbeads and Diamond Glitter Glass for added texture and sparkle. A small dream sentiment adds a whimsical touch to the flower cluster.
The entire scene is placed on Cathedral Elements Chipboard covered in rice paper. The stage edges are painted in Vintage Gold Metallique Wax by Finnabair, adding a touch of elegance and tying the design together.
