July is one of my favorite months during the summer so I decided to use the vibrant palette of red, white, and blue which is a perfect match for this picture.
I blended paper and elements from the Summer Cottage and Inkwell Collections from 49 and Market. The first step was to ink the largest chain frame from Reneabouquets with embossing ink and then cover it with white embossing powder to add texture.
Resting on top of this frame is the matted photograph. Around it, I created clusters of mini white and red mulberry flowers, accompanied by a white gardenia. Each bloom is crowned with pearl microbeads, complemented by the midnight magic iridescent pearls that further enhance the design.
For a touch of whimsy, I added a chipboard ladybug that peeks out from the topmost flower cluster and a star from the beautiful bits added to the side. The flowers are surrounded with cutout leaves and pieces of ivy vines chipboard that I colored using watercolor markers.
Until next time - "Let your art take you where you want to go." - Diane
