I made this altered embroidery hoop and purse for a swap on Scrapbook.com. My partner loves red and I had just purchased this paper set so knew it would be perfect for her gifts! The paper set is Scrapboys "Lady in Red" and has some beautiful images of women and lots of designs to fussy cut.

I covered the back of the hoop with patterned paper and topped it with some White Floral Embroidered Lace and ran some pearls around the inside edge of the hoop. The main feature was Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Lacy Heart Creative Palette Chipboard which I painted the back piece black and the heart piece white and decorated it with red half back pearls. Lots of fussy cut images from the paper collection were added to the bottom of the hoop along with a cluster of white, black and red mulberry flowers topped with German Glitter Glass for some sparkle. A silver key sits atop the cluster and a piece of Reneabouquets Trim - Drop Leaf Lace, hangs off the side. On the opposite side there is another flower. A Tiny Treasures Violas Precious Keepsakes Premium Paper Butterfly is on the top left of the hoop and a Vintage Hand Mirror Charm on the bottom right. The top of the hoop is finished off with some lace and ribbon bows and a dangle rhinestone.

The purse is a Beautiful Board 4D Purse Do It Yourself Laser Cut Chipboard kit which I painted white and covered with patterned paper from the "Lady in Red" collection. A row of small lace lines the top of the purse and pearls were added to the top and sides. The front features a Victorian lady inside a Beautiful Board Small Simply Beautiful Frame Laser Cut Chipboard which was also painted white. More mulberry flowers dusted with German Glitter Glass and a stick pin were added to the front along with a few Butterfly Kisses Mid Winter's Dream Single Side Printed Butterflies. The handle was covered with two Beautiful Board Small Butterfly Flourish Set Of 4 Laser Cut Chipboard pieces which I painted black and covered with some red half pearls. Sitting atop the handle is a Tiny Treasures Violas Precious Keepsakes Premium Paper Butterfly and the latch to the purse is a button I had in my stash.

The back of the purse had more of the fussy cut images from the collection, lace, pearls, more butterflies, and a bronze key with a woman's silhouette and some rhinestones. One side of the purse had a cabochon with chains of ladies charms.
