“It’s Often The Simple Things That Creates The Marvelous”
Altered Butterfly
The base of this project is a wooden butterfly I purchased at Dollar Tree. I traced around the butterfly with Graphic 45 "Cottage Life" paper and adhered to the butterfly. I ran a string of pears around the edge of the butterfly. In the middle I used a Printed Beautiful Board Small Blue Lilac Heart Frame as the focal point of the project. Coordinating paper lined the back of the frame and Printed Beautiful Board Flower Girl Tansy Laser Cut Chipboard was added to the side of the heart. A sentiment was added to the other side of the heart along with a Beautiful Board Blue Jay Itty Bitty and a brooch was added to the top. A Beautiful Board April in Paris Small Medallion was added to the back of the frame. I used corsage pins and mini beads to make the antennae. Some Reneabouquets Trim - Drop Leaf Lace was added to the bottom of the butterfly along with some pearls and ribbon. Some Doily Lace - White 2-1/4" Wide lace was added to the body of the butterfly. Mulberry flowers were added to the top left and bottom right of the butterfly wings and a Tiny Treasures Sweet Dreams Cornflower Blue Premium Paper Butterfly was added to the large cluster of flowers. A sprinkling of Gawdie Girl Diamond Chunky German Glitter Glass finished off the bouquets with a shine.
