Butterfly Kisses Mixed Media Tag By Lanette

Hello Everyone,

I am back for my second Guest Design project. Today I am sharing a Mixed Media tag that I created using lots of beautiful bobbles and bits from Reneabouquets. This lovely tag was created from the leftover scraps from several of this month's projects.

Let's take a look....

You can how I created this tag start to finish here:

But before you head over  to YouTube let's look at a few of the details..

Now don't get me wrong Renea's Butterflies are to die for.

But I just had to fussy cut these out!

Lots of layers and sparkly bits...

So I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but I didn't realize,

that the circles cutouts in the chipboard are for beads.

Honestly I never thought anything of the circles it

because this chipboard is beautiful by itself.

But oh my goodness look at it now! These Fairy lights are amazing!

It's crazy how tiny Fairy Sparkle beads take this dragonfly to another level

and completely add the WOW factor to this tag!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I hope that I have inspired you in some way!

ReneaBouquets DT Project--Mini Paper Bag Album with Brandy

Hi crafty friends! Brandy here to share a project I created to finally use my Beautiful Board Garden Party ~ Tea Time Set! It's a little upright paper bag album, so there are photo mats and pockets for lots of pictures, notes, or other ephemera. The papers I used are digital prints I found on Etsy. :)

After giving my tea set a thick coat of white embossing, I used my embossing ink pen to add blue powder to the roses and sprinkled a little lightly over the entire piece. When I held the heat gun over to set it, it melted right into the white. Gives it a cool speckled look. To finish them off, I inked them up a little with distress ink.

I thought I'd try something different to decorate my binding rings and went with a doily. I just wrapped it over the spine and closed my rings over it.

Here's a video showing how I embossed the tea set! :)

Let Your Spirit Take Flight

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a page for Reneabouquet!  I was inspired by this photo to create a background with soft colors, and textures with swirling movement. I thought the Beautiful Board, or BB, I chose, fit the bill to reflect the elegance of the dancer.

To make this page I used a Prima stencil and applied texture paste. I used watercolors to paint everything. I have the photo mounted on watercolor paper. I put a layer of foam core board between the photo and the watercolor paper, and two layers of foam core board between that and the bottom layer. For the BB, I prepped it with gesso, painted it pink, and applied a layer of Ranger Crackle Paint.

To add visual interest I used Glossy Accents to glue on the following,a Reneabouquet dragonfly, mica flakes, micro beads, seed beads, crystals, metal, bling, sequins, shells, glass, black tulle, gold leaf, glass glitter, lichen, feathers, pressed flowers, gold embroidery floss, and more.

Almost everything has a little gesso dry brushed on it. I added more watercolors to the BB, and kept adding layers of color to the page.

I painted the raised areas of the texture paste with Art Alchemy Sparks Acrylic paint and watercolors too. I coated that with a thick layer of Crackle Paint. I outlined the painted areas with a detail brush and a mix of  watercolor crayon and water. I could have used black gesso but this way was less of a mess.

One of the last steps was dabbing a little gold mica powder on several areas, just to add a little extra color and shine.

Here are four photos that show the dimension more:
