DIY Rustic Farmhouse Inspired "Building our Love"

I've seen this post on Pinterest, like 1000 times and have wanted to recreate it for awhile...and now was the time. It was a simple post...the project was made by using wood pieces that spelled out the word 'love' with a metal shaped heart for the 'o'. Simplistic in nature, rustic...right up my alley! I actually had a bundle of these thin wood pieces that I got from Habitat For Humanity last year for $1.00.  They were the perfect pieces of wood for a project like this. I really wanted my project to be the same theme...farmhouse inspired, rustic...but with a little twist of shabby thrown in and I wanted to use some elements that would give it a homey industrial sort of look.  Completing my project to its beautiful end was  completely easy using product from Reneabouquets.com.
