Altered Paint Brush with Lighted Shadow Box by Toni

Hello to our Reneabouquet family and friends. Every month RB hosts a swap that you can participate in and it's a great way to make new creative friends and share your love for paper crafts with another. This month's swap was to create an altered paint brush, here is my take on it.
I purchased a brush from Dollar Store 3" wide which provided a nice amount of space to create on. Below I have a video tutorial so you can watch the different mixed media techniques that I used to get this effect... very easy to do.

The main focal point on the brush was the sweet RB shadow box. They are so much fun to work with and so versatile. I decided to add some fairy lights just for effect. If you haven't worked with these shadow boxes you need to get your hands on them especially with the holidays approaching. They are so much fun to create with.

ReneaBouquets August Swap--Altered Embroidery Hoop

Time to announce a new ReneaBouquets Swap!

Hi there! Brandy here to share the August Swap, an Altered Embroidery Hoop!

I just love making these and they are pretty popular right now!

I started out with a plain 6 inch embroidery hoop as my base. Then I chose, traced, cut and glued it to the back of my hoop for a background. I fussy cut a cute scene from my 6x6 inch Paradise By Mintay paper collection and had it ready to place over some embellishing. 

I like to cut my Beautiful Board Elements for interest, and a little Chunky Glitter Glass hides any imperfections! Don't forget to adorn your Beautiful Board pieces with your Beautiful Beads! :)

You can't go wrong adding flowers and a couple Tiny Treasure Dragonflies!

Altered Book Swap by Toni

 
Hi ReneaBouquet friends. Toni here with a swap project. Last month RB hosted a altered box swap and I decided to take a configurations box and make it into a steampunk embellishment box for my partner.

This also kept with this months mood board inspiration  which is this:

It's always fun to get involved in swaps because it gives you a theme of inspiration to create and also connects you with other creatives that enjoy the same thing as yourself. 

On the altered box I added a RB shaker box to the lid as well as many Beautiful Board pieces to enhance the top. The shaker boxes can be used on so many different projects, from layouts to cards, to altered projects as you see above. 

Once the box was completed I had fun filling it with some vintage and steampunk style embellishments for my swap partner to use on her projects. 

As well as the box, it's always fun to create some extra goodies for your partner. Pictured here is the card I made as well as an altered notebook. 

Candy filled boxes, doily's as well as some stick pins were all adorned with RB's supplies from the store. A list of the supplies is below in the video description.
