Look For The Magic

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for Reneabouquets!  I love all the amazing things there! This photo is from free google, by A.M. Lorek.

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Happy Accident 2 paper, by Blue Fern. I put texture paste on with a stencil, then put the layers under the photo together. I taped on cardstock underneath the image to make it stronger, below that is a lahyer of watercolors paper. At the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I had torn off most of the paper from the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put layers of foam core board between the layers to add dimension.

I picked out Beautiful Board (B Board), painted it with Shimmerz Paints, and topped it with Clear Rock Candy Crackle.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, glass glitter, mica flakes, small pieces of iridescent wrap, sequins, seed beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, glass beads,a brad, pressed flowers, moss, lichen, a 49 and Market flower, a Reneabouquets butterfly, metal from Renea,Vintaj, Prima, Tim Holtz, bling from my stash, shells, and glass pebbles. There are a few fussy cuts pieces from Prima Spring Farmhouse, and a piece of  Stamperia Alchemy paper. I used some pieces from floral picks.

I love using pressed flowers, they add delicate texture, color, and soften the even shapes of the other elements.

I dabbed on some glossy accents and then mica powder under the glass pebbles. I painted the raised areas of the texture paste with Shimmerz.

I added Shimmerz and beads on the cardboard, and painted the edges of the layers with paint, black gesso, and swiped on gold mica powder.
The Tim Holtz tag has Stamperia paper on it, topped with Dimensional Accents.

I dyed gauze with gold, and other pieces with a mix of green and brown. I glued on small pieces of it on the page.

I patted on gold mica powder all around on the different items, to sort of tie things together.
Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

"Love Blooms" A Mini Album by Jenn

Hello Reneabouquets Friends and fans! I am very excited to be a guest Designer here this month! My first project is this Valentine themed mini album using many of the beautiful products available at ReneaBouquets.
This album is very interactive and would make an amazing gift for a loved one.
After watching many YouTube tutorials on creating minis I decided it was time to give it a whirl and I just loved it! I think I am hooked now. For this album I combined several tutorials to create the base, pockets, and elements inside.
The base album measures 6" X 6" and was made with kraft cardstock. All of the edges were inked using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Black Soot.
Below I have a video reveal showing all of the elements inside this fun interactive album!

The front of the album showcases one of Renea's amazing shaker boxes. These are so easy to assemble and make an amazing embellishment for any project! It was just perfect for this album.

Out of Limitations Comes Creativity

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for Reneabouquets! I've used a google free photo by A.M. Lorek.
It's always a pleasure to use such high quality, beautiful products from Reneabouquets

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Lavender Frost paper. I applied texture paste with a stencil, then put the layers under the photo together. I took corrugated cardboard, ripped off some of the surface paper off, and painted it with gesso. On top of the cardboard I added watercolor paper, foam core board, and a layer of cardstock directly attached to it with double sided tape. I find this helps with warping, I get a lot of glare from the shiny photo paper that makes it hard to take photos, The flatter the photo lies, the less glare there is.

I picked out Beautiful Board (B Board),prepped with gesso, painted with Shimmerz Paints, and topped it with Clear Rock Candy Crackle.

To add visual interest I added microbeads, glass glitter, mica flakes, seed beads, pearls, rhinestones, shells, pressed flowers and leaves, lichen, Prima flowers, metal from Reneabouquets, Tim Holtz, chain, tulle, and tiny pieces of lace. Most of the paint is Shimmerz, but I also used Finnabair Sparks,Waxes, and Tattered Angels. I dabbed on gold and purple mica powder on a lot of raised areas, for highlights. I wanted to show the dimension with the above photo. There's a total of 5 layers of foam core board.

I pretty much coated the background paper with gesso, because things just got too busy.

A lot of the raised areas of the chipboard and cardboard have gesso on them. I kept adding and changing colors to get something I wanted.I added a little Prima stamping at the end,and also rubbed on some Green Brocade Prima wax in a few areas.

There's a lot of texture with all the micro beads and glitter.

To help tie things together, I brush a little gesso on almost everything, then add more paint, or mica powder.

I tucked in some pale aqua tulle at the sides and top of the layers. I glued a Butterfly Kiss on the left there. The key has gesso, paint, and mica powders on it. I glued rhinestones in the indentations at the top of the key itself, and tied on some white silk ribbon. Right by the key is a Tim Holtz charm with Art Alchemy Paper, topped with Dimensional Magic.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Shabby Vintage Layout using Prima's Rossibelle

Hey Crafty Friends Phyllis here with another scrapbook layout page for my DT project!  When I started this project I had no idea or no plan but I think that's how all my projects are!
This layout is full of yummy texture!
I started with prepping my paper with Acrylic Gesso then used my brick stencil spreading Prima's White sand texture paste that I mixed some spray inks into the paste.  Then I added Tim Holtz Distress Crackle~Rock Candy randomly around the brick.
I also added some embossing powder where it looks black on the bricks.
I grabbed all my embellishments from Prima's Rossibelle collection and started creating my design.
I love using Prima's Vintage Metal Clocks on my layouts they add awesome texture!

I wasn't too sure about ReneaBouquets Tiny Treasure Sweet Nothing's Butterflies because it was pink but I think they were perfect!
I also LOVE using ReneaBouquets Chunky Shard Glitter Glass~Coral and ReneaBouquets Glass MicroBeads~Gold they both add texture and interest to any project!

I use alot of microbeads on my layouts,  so YUMMY!

Here is a close up of the Crackle!
Here I used embossing powder like crazy and then spritz it with some ink and added some Gold paint to accent the detail on the Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Resin Baroque frame.  I really love how it turned out!

I hope you are inspired to make some beautiful today!
